Site work and paving for a road / highway in Bradenton, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
This project includes construction of 2.8 miles of roadway improvements from 44th Avenue Plaza East to Lakewood Ranch Boulevard. Includes a four-lane divided roadway with sidewalks, bike lanes/multi-use path, and street lighting, an overpass over I-75, and a crossing over a reclaimed water storage lake. This section will include four, 12-foot lanes, a 22-foot median, curb and gutter, 4-foot bike lanes, and 5-foot sidewalks in each direction. The project is being designed in two phases: Phase 1 extends from 44th Avenue Plaza East to approximately 1,100 feet west of the I-75 right-of-way. The preliminary (75%) design plans are currently being reviewed by the County. Phase 2 includes the proposed 1-75 overpass and extends easterly from Phase 1 to the existing intersection of 44th Avenue East and Solutions Lane/Highland Links Street, west of Lakewood Ranch Boulevard. The preliminary (30%) design plans were submitted in April 2018, with preparation of preliminary (75%) design plans currently underway. The project is included in the county's 2019-2023 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
