Site work, renovation and addition to a water / sewer project in Parksville, British Columbia. Design plans call for the addition of a water / sewer project; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Stage 4 expansion and odour control upgrades to the French Creek Pollution Control Centre. The expansion and upgrade to the existing wastewater treatment plant will increase plant capacity by about 30%, meet the service area demands to 2035, improve operational efficiency and replace aging infrastructure in the existing plant, and incorporate extensive odour control upgrades for the existing plant as well as odour controls for the expansion site. Solar panels will be added to the roof of the new expansion process building. TIMELINE: Project planning is ongoing. Results of a value engineering study exercise was presented to the board for further discussion. Tender schedule is unknown at this time. Further update in late spring 2026, upon budget approval. *Budget includes design and construction costs. The owner has partnered with Vancouver Island University Applied Environmental Research Laboratories to implement an air quality monitoring program to fingerprint the facility's current odour emissions.
