Remodeling and renovation of a library in Flint, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 91,000-square-foot library.
As of May 2022 this project is at occupancy. The Flint Public Library (FPL) Board has determined that it is critical that its existing library facilities and site be upgraded to meet the needs of its constituents in the 21st Century. The Board has been encouraged by funders and supporters to pursue a design study to determine needs, services and facility improvements required to transform the sixty year old library into a vibrant, efficient 21st Century Library providing 21st Century services within a 21st Century envelope. To achieve this goal, the FPL Board has hired Jeff Bennett of THA Architects Engineers (THA), Flint, Michigan to be their Owner's Advocate for this process. As such, all communications will go through the Owner's Advocate.
