Site work and paving for a road / highway in Clearwater, Florida. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of July 5, 2024, an engineer has been selected and design is in the construction document phase. It is anticipated to bid and start construction in 2026. This project is included City of Clearwater FY 2021-2024/25 - 2029/30 CIP. This project provides funding for the design and reconstruction of the Fort Harrison Ave. corridor from the apex at Fort Harrison Ave. and Myrtle Ave. (north) to Belleair Rd. (south). This project will replace all major underground infrastructure including water, sewer, reclaim, storm drainage and roadway features where feasible as well as enhanced streetscaping to encourage pedestrian use and increase pedestrian safety through downtown Clearwater. The street lights on this corridor have already been converted to LED's in 2016, a major Greenprint component. The installation of bike lanes and landscape islands where feasible, supports Greenprint initiatives. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
