Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools (WSFCS) is requesting qualifications from General Contracting firms interested in providing Construction Management at Risk services for an upcoming school project. The selected firm would be providing preconstruction and construction services for the referenced project The project is part of the $350 million "2016 Bond Package" approved by the voters of Forsyth County in November 2016. East Forsyth HS consists of a total of 172,975 square feet The 2016 Bond provides direction for renovating East Forsyth High School as follows: o New Construction: o Dining addition ~10,000 sf o Renovations: o Building 100 - o Reroof o Auditorium/Gym Lobby: doors, hardware, ceilings, lighting, paint, and new restroom finishes o Building 200 - o Partial reroof o Minor renovations: doors, windows, hardware, ceilings, lighting, and paint. o Building 300, 400, 600 & 700 - o Major renovations: doors, windows, hardware, paint, ceiling tiles, lighting, electrical, HVAC, and ADA compliant restrooms o Building 500 & 800 - o Minor renovations: doors, windows, hardware, paint, ceiling tiles, and lighting o Building 1000 - o Minor interior renovations: doors, hardware, paint, ceiling tiles, lighting, art classroom renovations (2), and removal of lockers. o Building 900 & 1100 - o No scope o Site: o Renovate green/hardscape spaces o Replace canopy between 200, 300, 400, and 500 buildings o Repair existing canopies to remain o New exterior lighting o No capacity increase is included in the project. o Design services are being provided by DLR Group of Charlotte, NC o The tentative schedule has design completing in Spring 2023 with permitting and construction to immediately follow. o The total budget for the project, including design, construction and HUB / MWBE process (15%) 1.
