Demolition, site work, new construction, renovation and addition to a municipal facility in Boca Raton, Florida. Design plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; for the addition of a 800-square-foot municipal facility; and for the construction of a municipal facility.
As of September 11, 2024, this project is in design. The architect has been selected, a general contractor has not yet been selected; a timeline for selection has not been disclosed at this time. A firm timeline for construction is unavailable. Renovate Park Operation Facility at Spanish River Park; installation of gasoline and diesel aboveground fuel pumps and tanks. The project is included in the City of Boca Raton's 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of December 28, 2022, a designer has been selected, but further details regarding design and construction have not been identified.* The existing building is located at 3001 N. State Road A1A, Boca Raton Florida 33431. The City desires an 800 sf addition to the existing 2400 sf building as well as renovations to the interior office space. Additional design features that are desired are listed below: • Develop a new floor plan • Assess the condition of the existing roof • Remove and replace the drywall throughout the existing building • Replace existing HVAC duct • Upgrade the electrical system • Upgrade the restroom and locker facilities The site is about ¾ of an acre; the City is proposing an increase to the overall site area to approximately 2.25 acres. A site plan process may be required. The additional site area will include the following: • Covered parking canopy for large equipment • Enclosed structure for lawn tractors and dry storage of equipment, small hand tools, pesticides, fertilizer and irrigation supplies. • Bulk material storage bins for mulch, fill, shell rock, clay, limbs/chippings and debris • Area to locate 6 each 6 yard dumpsters • Above ground fuel storage shed housing tanks for diesel and unleaded fuels, (240 gallon limit). • Additional 32 parking spaces 12 standard and 20 for large equipment and trailers • Renovation to the existing 1250 sf carpenters shop located at the south end of the park It is anticipated building foundations will consist of pilings and beams. Buildings will consist of standard 8” block walls with a stucco exterior finish, engineered roof truss systems and standing seam metal roofs.
