MILEPOST DISTRICT ITEM NO. 010 248.03 to 251.85 SOUTHCENTRAL 8915 N/A N/A SOUTHCENTRAL 101482 The amount programmed for this contract is $200,000,000. The location and description of the proposed work are as follows: The proposed work for project 010 PM 248 H7583 01C is located in Pima County, on 1-10 from milepost 248.03 to milepost 251.85, in the City of Tucson, Town of Marana, and unincorporated Pima County. The work consists of reconstructing 1-10 to provide four general purpose lanes in each direction. The work includes construction of bridges, Portland cement concrete pavement, asphaltic concrete pavement, drainage facilities, and mechanically stabilized earth walls. Additional work includes, pavement markings, signing, lighting, freeway management system, landscaping, aesthetics, and other related work. The proposed work for project 0000 PM PPM T0327 01C is located in the City of Tucson and unincorporated Pima County along Sunset Road, starting at the Santa Cruz River Bridge just east of Silverbell Road, and extending east to River Road. The work consists of roadway and bridge improvements including pathway connection to the Chuck Huckelberry Loop for approximately 1.06 miles of roadway construction. The work also includes construction of bridges, Portland cement concrete pavement, asphaltic concrete pavement, drainage facilities, and mechanically stabilized earth walls. Additional work includes pavement markings, signing, lighting, freeway management system, landscaping, aesthetics, and other related work. The time allowed for the completion of the work included in the Construction Phase of the contract will be 1010 calendar days. The time allowed for the completion of the work included in the Landscape Establishment Phase of the contract will be 730 calendar days. The Arizona Department of Transportation, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The minimum contract-specified goal for participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in the work, as a percentage of the total amount bid, shall be7.87 All labor employed on this project shall be paid in accordance with the minimum wage rates shown in the General Wage Decision. These rates have been determined in accordance with the requirements of the law and issued by the Secretary of Labor for this project. The wage scale is on file in Contracts and Specifications Section and copies may be obtained at all reasonable times. This contract is subject to the provisions of Arizona Revised Statutes Section 42-5075 -- Prime contracting classification; exemptions; definitions. A Proposal Guaranty in the Form of Either a Certified or a Cashier's Check Made Payable to the State Treasurer of Arizona for Not Less Than 10 Percent of the Amount of the Bid or in the Form of a Surety (Bid) Bond for 10 Percent of the Amount of the Bid Shall Accompany the Proposal. Surety (Bid) Bonds Will Be Accepted Only on the Form Provided by the Department and Only From Corporate Sureties Authorized to Do Business in Arizona.
