Bid Security, in the form identified within the Standard Instructions to Bidders, and in the amount of five (5) percent of the total Bid amount, must accompany each Bid. The successful Bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, in the specific formats as attached herein, both for the full value of the Bid Price, along with all required insurance certificates, within fifteen (15) calendar days after the award date in order to execute a Contract. This project is funded in part by the State of Rhode Island through the Office of Library and Information Services. The successful bidder must comply with all state laws applicable to state funded projects and construction, including, but not limited to, Minority Business Enterprises (R.I. Gen. Laws 37-14.1) and Equal Employment Opportunity (R.I. Gen. Laws 28-5.1). Compliance with state laws must be documented and transmitted to the library prior to the Town's award of contract to the successful bidder. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bid. The Town of Narragansett reserves the right to reject any/all bids, waive any informalities in the bids received and to accept and award the bid to the lowest qualified bid deemed most favorable to the interest of the Town of Narragansett.
