Howard County intends to procure the services of a construction firm to perform construction of a proposed 2,500,000-gallon composite elevated water storage tank (EWST). The project includes, but is not limited to, installation of a composite style EWST and interior mechanical piping, tank instrumentation, lighting and electrical system, approximately 450 linear feet of 16-inch Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) with one (1) 16-inch isolation valve and one (1) fire hydrant and gate valve assembly, 16 feet wide paved access road, stormwater management and drainage piping, perimeter fencing, site clearing, erosion control and forest protection, miscellaneous appurtenances, and incidental items of work as shown on the contract drawings and specified in the contract specifications. This project is in SHA Cost Group "F". Each bid shall be accompanied by an electronic copy of a bid bond OR certified check, in the amount of 5% of the total bid, made payable to the "Director of Finance, Howard County". For a certified check, the Contractor shall submit the original certified check to the Office of Procurement and Contract Administration PRIOR to the bid due date and time to be deemed responsive.
