As of March 25, 2019, subcontractor bidding took place in March 2019. The construction manager is no longer accepting subcontractor pricing or inquiries. The Project consists of the demolition of the existing ice facility and the construction of a new ice facility and associated site work on the same general site. The new facility will have one NHL ice rink and associated support and accessory spaces. The area will be approximately 47,000 gross square feet. There is an add alternate to add a second NHL ice rink and additional locker rooms and support spaces as indicated on the drawings. If the add alternate is accepted, the area for the entire building would be approximately 77,200 gross square feet. This Request for Qualifications (RFQu)is the first part of the two-part procurement. The Tucker Road Ice Rink was an approximately 40,700 square foot,stand-alone one story facility that included one sheet of ice (28,000 s.f.). In December 2016, the rink enclosure experienced a substantial fire that caused major damage to not only the rink but to the support areas building. M-NCPPC is committed to demolishing the existing facility and constructing a new indoor ice rink that will generally contain the same facilities as the original structure.The construction budget for this projectis $10-$15 million.
