Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Platteville, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
DFD will publicly bid the applicable mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP) divisions of work first. Within 5 days of the MEP bid opening, DFD will identify a lowest, qualified, responsible, certified bidder in each applicable MEP division of work. These successful MEP bids must be included in all general prime contractor bids received. No later than 5 days after DFD identifies the successful MEP bids, DFD will publicly open general prime contractor bids. General prime contractor bids that do not include the successful MEP bids will be rejected. The state will enter into a single contract with the lowest, qualified, responsible, certified general prime contractor and this general prime contractor will enter into subcontracts with the successful MEP bidder. In general the work consists of pulverizing and paving all areas within Parking Lot 1, the Center for the Arts loading dock, and the drive aisle of Parking Lot 19. Pavement markings, signage, and lighting will be augmented, replaced, or re-installed as required. Parking Lot 11 will be completely reconstructed including new base course, curb and gutter, and asphalt pavement. Additionally, work associated with Parking Lot 11 will be coordinated with the following DFD projects: 14K1G - Williams Fieldhouse Addition, 17F1E - Upgrade Fuel Reliability (UWP Heating Plant), and 18L1D - Heating Plant Water Service Replacement. Base Bid will be received for: A single lump sum bid for All Work. No deposit is required to obtain documents for bidding purposes. Effective January 1, 2014, all potential bidders must be certified by DOA prior to submitting bids on state construction projects over $50,000. All bids received from contractors who are not certified will be rejected.
