Alteration of an approximately 4,660 square foot single story existing building. Building is constructed of masonry walls with brick veneer, wood joists and asphalt shingle roof. Work includes General, Architectural, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Telecommunications, Electrical Security Systems and Civil Work. A certified check drawn upon a solvent bank or bid bond executed by corporations authorized to contract as surety in Iowa, and submitted on AIA Document A310 - Bid Bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid and made payable to The Adjutant General, Iowa National Guard, shall be filed with each bidder's proposal as a guarantee that the accepted bidder shall enter into a contract with the State of Iowa and file an approved surety company Performance and Payment Bond for the faithful performance thereof. Upon failure to comply, said check or bid bond shall become forfeited as liquidated damages. Bids received will be opened and read aloud at the time and place stated. Bids received after that time will not be accepted. Oral, telephonic, telegraphic, facsimile or other electronically transmitted bids will not be accepted. Interested parties are invited to attend. Deposit will be refunded to bidders upon return of their complete set of Bidding Documents, including any addenda, properly bound and in good condition to Beeline and Blue within 14 calendar days after opening of bids.
