The Val Vista Drive Improvement Project (US 60 to Pueblo Avenue) consists of full street improvements along Val Vista Drive from US 60 to Southern Avenue replacing pavement, curb, gutter, sidewalk, pavement markings, and signage. New vehicle travel lanes and bike lanes will also be constructed. Pavement rehabilitation work (resurfacing) along Val Vista Drive will occur from Southern Avenue to Pueblo Avenue. New City utility lines will be constructed in Val Vista Drive for storm drain, street lights, and gas. New traffic signal improvements will take place at three (3) locations along Val Vista Drive. Landscaping, Gas SCADA System upgrades, and other miscellaneous improvements will be constructed as required. Similar improvements will occur along Southern Avenue from 32nd Street to 37th Street. Sewer rehabilitation work (COM Project No. CP0956SR18) is part of the scope of work and will take place along Val Vista Drive from Coralbell Avenue to Baseline Road. The Engineer's Estimate range is $20,000,000 to $22,000,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The successful bidder, simultaneously with the execution of the Contract, will be required to furnish a Payment Bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, and the most recent ACORD Certificate of Liability Insurance form with additional insured endorsements Work shall be completed within 450 consecutive calendar days, beginning with the day following the starting date specified in the Notice to Proceed.
