The improvement consists of: In-water construction to improve fish passage at the Middle Fork Nooksack river, including partial demolition of the City's diversion dam structure, and restoration of approximately 500 linear feet of river channel. Project work also includes facility construction of an automated municipal water supply diversion intake system, including an in-water intake structure, fish screening facility, conveyance piping, and modifications to the existing diversion facility at the site. Price Range: $10,000,000 - $15,000,000 All proposals must be upon the Bid Proposal form provided by the City of Bellingham and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, cash, money order or bid bond payable to the Finance Director in an amount equal to or exceeding five percent (5%) of the total bid. No other form of bid security is acceptable. The right is reserved to postpone making the award for a reasonable length of time, to reject any and all bids, or to waive irregularities not affecting substantial rights. This project is a Federally Assisted Construction Contract, as defined by 41 CFR 60-1.3. Additionally, this project has been funded by the Puget Sound Acquisition and Restoration Fund as co-managed by the Puget Sound Partnership and the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office.
