Project title: renovate and expand amos hall - lincoln university This PROJECT IS A STANDARD LOW BID PROJECT and includes: GENERAL, HVAC, PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION. PROJECT TITLE: Renovate and Expand Amos Hall - Lincoln University ESTIMATED RANGE: .1 General - $6,000,000 - $8,000,000 .2 HVAC - $2,000,000 - $3,000,000 .3 Plumbing - $300,000 - $500,000 & .4 Electrical - $1,000,000 - $2,000,000 Liquidated Damages = (.1) $2,000.00 per day (.2) $750.00 per day (.3) $160.00 per day & (.4) $500.00 per day. There is no Bid Guaranty required for this Project. The Department of General Services Public Works and the Bureau of Diversity, Inclusion and Small Business Opportunities (BDISBO) identified this procurement as eligible for the setting of Small Diverse Business (SDB) and/or Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) participation goals. However, BDISBO did not set SDB and/or VBE participation goals for those procurements that are less than the $400,000 threshold required to set either goal. In addition, there will be no points allocated toward SDB/SB participation for this procurement. This is a significant programmatic change from the SDB and SB Participation program contained in prior Projects issued by Public Works. Bidders now must agree to meet the SDB and VBE Participation Goals in full or demonstrate that they have made Good Faith Efforts to meet the Goals. Refer to the Instructions to Bidders section regarding Small Diverse Business and Veteran Business Enterprise Participation for further information. Contract No. DGS 1101-51 Phase 1.1 - General Construction Contract No. DGS 1101-51 Phase 1.2 - HVAC Construction Contract No. DGS 1101-51 Phase 1.3 - Plumbing Construction Contract No. DGS 1101-51 Phase 1.4 - Electrical Construction Renovate existing Amos Hall and add an addition for IT/Hub, Exhibit Space and academic spaces for the Visual Arts A. The Work of this Project consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, the following. Detailed requirements of the Work are described in the pertinent specification Sections and/or shown on the Drawings. B. General Construction (.1) Contract: 1. Site Work includes new concrete paving and landscaping including an infiltration basin 2. Amos Hall: 2 story historic brick building with partial basement. Replace windows, structural and building envelope repair, reinforce first floor slab. Renovate interior spaces for new program. 3. Addition: Partial basement walls poured concrete. Structural steel building. Exterior metal rainscreen system with stone panel base. CMU elevator shaft. Roof to be PVC white roof. 4. Attached 1 story building on concrete slab, with perforated metal walls and standing seam metal roof. Unconditioned space. C. HVAC Construction (.2) Contract: 1. The HVAC work consist of selective demolition and new heating/cooling HVAC systems including, but not limited to an air cooled chiller, gas fired boilers, air handling unit, VAV boxes, humidifiers, fan coil units, fin tube radiation, split systems, glycol feed systems, computer room air condition units, energy recovery unit, chilled and hot water pumps, piping insulation, appurtenances, ductwork, DDC controls and testing/adjusting/balancing. 2. Coordination with Commissioning Agent. D. Plumbing Construction (.3) Contract: 1. The Plumbing work consist of selective demolition and new plumbing systems including, but not limited to domestic water system, plumbing fixtures, gas fired and electric domestic water heater, natural gas piping, storm water system, sprinkler system, double pre-action sprinkler system, and a clean agent FM-200 fire suppression system. 2. Coordination with Commissioning Agent. E. Electrical Construction (.4) Contract: 1. The Electrical work consists of selective demolition and new electrical systems including, but not limited to new switchgear, transformers, hookup for new HVAC/Plumbing equipment, electrical panels, outlets, power wiring, lighting fixture and controls, site lighting, telecommunications, and fire alarm system. 2. Telecommunications and data infrastructure including data racks, wire ways, copper/fiber cabling, cable extensions, patch panels, cable terminations, and testing. 3. Designated site construction. 4. Conduits (w/ pull-string) and boxes for AV, Door Access and Security. 5. Coordination with Commissioning Agent.
