Renovation of an educational facility in Cincinnati, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of January 7 2020, This project has no award yet, this project had another bid in September but no bids were received, so there was a rebid. The exterior window wall scope of work includes temporary wet sealing and preparing the system for replacement. The window wall replacement will require temporary weather protection to allow the research labs to function during construction operations. All existing curtain wall systems are to be replaced. Repeated attempts to seal these original systems have yielded only temporary and ineffectual results. All glazing, as well as flashings and weather tight details, will be redesigned and replaced. The masonry scope of work includes miscellaneous tuck pointing throughout and the application of masonry water repellant. Additional minor masonry remediation as required to maintain continuity of the exterior air / water barrier. Sealants between adjacent materials will be renewed where required. Galvanized (cold) corner angles will be refinished; organic staining and chemical efflorescence will be removed from all masonry. The EDGE Participation Goal for the Project is 5.0 percent.
