Site work and paving for a civil project in Etobicoke, Ontario. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Construction of the Bonar Creek Stormwater Management Facility (BCSWMF), Legion Road Extension and Metrolinx Grade Separation (LREMGS) and Mystic Pointe Storm Sewer (MPSS) located in the Etobicoke/Lakeshore area; the project area extends from Lake Shore Blvd in the south to the Gardiner Expressway in the north. The eastern portion is bounded by Mimico Creek and is bounded by Grand Ave and subdivisions in the west. The project area south of the Lakeshore West Rail Corridor (LWRC) is governed by TRCA as it is located within the Regional Floodplain. The BCSWMF site is situated adjacent to Mimico Creek and is traversed by Bonar Creek. Under existing conditions, drainage from approximately 21 hectares northwest of the proposed BCSWMF site drains uncontrolled via Bonar Creek to Mimico Creek. Under proposed conditions, existing Bonar Creek will be replaced by the proposed BCSWMF and the MPSS will divert minor flows from a 365 ha drainage area to the new stormwater management facility for treatment prior to being released to Mimico Creek. - The extension of Legion Road under the Lakeshore West Rail Corridor (LWRC) has been subject to a number of previous studies. The extension was initially identified in the Park Lawn Road/Lakeshore Boulevard Secondary Plan. An extension was required to satisfy the needs of the area along with providing improvements to traffic safety and road network improvements. TIMELINE: Detailed design is on hold. Tender and construction timing will be finalized within three to five years based on capital funding allocation and approvals. It is not determined if the owner will issue one tender or if separate tenders for individual project components will be issued.
