Site work for a civil project in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and bridge / tunnel.

The Project consists generally of the following major items: o Approximately 14,400 linear feet demolition of existing 72-inch RCP gravity sewer lines and replacement with 78-inch fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) gravity sewer lines and appurtenant items. (East of Auburn Knightdale Road) o Approximately 3,500 linear feet demolition of existing 72-inch RCP gravity sewer lines and replacement with 72-inch fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) gravity sewer lines and appurtenant items. (West of Auburn Knightdale Road) o Approximately 1,675 linear feet installation of 18-inch DIP gravity sewer line and abandonment of existing 18-inch DIP gravity sewer lines and appurtenances o Demolition and removal of 41 existing manholes o Installation of 30 precast concrete or FRP fabricated manholes o Installation of 5 polymer concrete manholes o Approximately 1,400 LF of 72-inch Cured-in-Place Pipe Lining (CIPP) o Total of Nine (9) 72-inch gravity sewer pipe point repairs o Rehabilitation of 15 existing manholes o Relocate and reinstall approximately 6,300 LF 24-inch (east of Auburn Knightdale Road), and 2,100 LF 16-inch ductile iron reclaimed water pipe (west of Auburn Knightdale Road) and valves as required between existing 72-inch RCP gravity sewer lines to facilitate construction o Replace 7 reclaimed water pipe air release valve vaults o Replacement of existing CMP arch culverts with RCP box culverts o Replacement of 310 LF existing 51"x31" CMP arch culverts with 48"x48" RCP box culverts o New 100 LF 24" RCP box culvert o Replacement of 210 LF existing 40"x65" CMP arch culverts with 48"x60" RCP box culverts. o Demolition and removal of existing 10'x20' force main concrete junction box structure, approximately 150 LF existing 48" ductile iron gravity sewer pipe, and two manholes o 12'x16' concrete valve vault structure for two (2) 30" plug valves, approximately 170 LF of 30" ductile iron force main, and abandonment of approximately 800 LF 30" ductile iron force main, and 900 LF 16" ductile iron force main Pursuant to General Statutes of North Carolina Sections 143-128.2 and 143-131, and in accordance with City policy, the City of Raleigh encourages and provides equal opportunity for certified Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) businesses to participate in all aspects of the City's contracting and procurement programs to include Professional Services; Goods and Other Services; and Construction. The prime contractor will be required to identify participation of MWBE businesses in their Bid, and how that participation will be achieved. Furthermore, the City's goal is to contract or sub-contract fifteen percent (15%) of the contract amount to certified MWBEs on construction projects over $300,000, or with contracts that include $100,000 or more in state funding.
