Pullen to Bain Reinforcing Main: This project involves the construction of approximately 15,300 LF of 36-inch ductile iron pipe, 2,000 LF of 24-inch ductile iron pipe, 9,000 LF of 16-inch ductile iron reclaimed waterline, 5,500 LF of water distribution main replacements, and 5,300 LF of 8-inch gravity sewer replacements from South Wilmington Street to Ashe Avenue in Raleigh, North Carolina. The project requires trenchless crossings across NCDOT roadways, two trenchless crossings under a railroad, a tunnel crossing beneath Western Boulevard, stream crossings, construction around landfills, and construction through Dorothea Dix Park as well as urban areas and streets. The total estimated cost of construction is approximately $18.3 million. This project is expected to advertise for construction in the Summer of 2022 and the construction period is expected to be 720 days. Perry Creek Outfall & Neuse River Interceptor Improvements: Project will replace an existing sewer line along Perry Creek and the Neuse River with approximately 5,600 linear feet of 60-inch, 3,300 linear feet of 42-inch, and 2,700 linear feet of 36-inch sewer line. The project requires two trenchless crossings beneath NCDOT roadways, construction along a greenway, and construction in floodplain areas. The total estimated cost of construction is approximately $17 million. The project is expected to advertise for construction in Fall 2022 and the construction contract period is expected to be 720 days.
