Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Richmond, Virginia. Working plans call for the construction of a 250-room hospitality development; 4,000-unit multi-residential development; 375,000-square-foot office development; 500,000-square-foot retail development; and stadium.
The City of Richmond is seeking to redevelop 67.57 acres of under-developed, publicly-owned property along the I-95 east coast corridor into a mixed-use, mixed-income entertainment destination. The city has been preparing for a redevelopment of this strategic site for a number of years and, in the process, has relocated city functions, demolished buildings, and remediated the site with the exception of the baseball stadium and the Arthur Ashe Junior Athletic Center. Site has potential to hold 4,000 apartments, 500,000 square feet of retail, 375,000 square feet of office space and a 250-room hotel. As of July 15, 2024, an architect and developer have been chosen. A timeline for construction and phasing has not yet been determined.
