Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Ridgefield, Washington. Completed plans call for the construction of a 70,000-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
As of September 1, 2023, construction is underway and most subcontracts are already in place. Site work is well along, column pads are poured, most of the underground is in place, and SOG will be poured in the next few weeks. They are pretty much complete with buyout at this time with a few small interior scopes remaining to be finalized. This is a Progressive Design Build project. The Design / Builders were selected in December 2021 and NTP was issued in April 2022. Most major trade partners are selected and they are currently recruiting MWBE contractors for selected work packages. Plans and specs are in the mid design development phase and not currently available. Site work is scheduled to begin in June 2023 and building construction will start about October 2023. A formal Invitation to Bid (ITB) will be issued on 02/09/2023. However, structural steel is already out to the Market, so we would need to add the contract ASAP if that is their scope of work. The ITB on 02/09/2023 will be open to all trades other than Plumbing, Mechanical/HVAC, Fire Suppression Sprinklers, Low-, Regular-, and High-Voltage scopes of work. They have procured design-build partners for those scopes. All communications regarding this RFQ should be addressed to Paul Fiedler, Project Manager/Owners Representative, paul.fiedler@des.wa.gov The Boschma Farms campus will provide an extension of Clark College academic programs to north Clark County, Washington. Clark College has possession of the 10-acre site. The City of Ridgefield is currently developing Pioneer Street along the site boundary as a 4-lane roadway with sidewalks and a roundabout at the planned campus entry point. Site development will consider and make provisions for the ultimate campus build-out of future buildings and related infrastructure. This Project includes site and utilities development, and the design and construction of an approximately 70,000 SF building utilizing the Clark College Pre Design Report (Attachment 6). The facility will feature administrative offices, classrooms, manufacturing program spaces, storage, computer labs, common rooms,mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire command rooms, secure data rooms, security and spaces for building operations and maintenance.
