Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 300,000-square-foot, 14-story above grade, 348-bed medical facility; for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility; and elderly care / assisted living facility.
On behalf of the Rekai Centres, Turner & Townsend are inviting pre-qualified Construction Managers to submit a Greatest Maximum Price for the new Cherry Place Project by the closing date. The Rekai Centres Cherry Place Project is a 300,000 + sq ft community hub for seniors and will create 348 Long Term Beds. 2 floors within the 12 floor building will be devoted to residents living with Alzheimer's, as well as a lab space, a Dialysis Centre and other innovative healthcare spaces. Residents and the required support and amenity spaces are accommodated over various floors in order to manage the very small site. Important outdoor open spaces are provided through series of terraces and roof gardens, all with views into the downtown core and Lake Ontario providing residents with an important view out to the world. The design takes important proactive infection control measures such as accommodating 6 rooms equipped with negative pressure to be used to isolate those infected and equipping a few rooms with oxygen supply.
