Site work, renovation and addition to a fire / police facility in Allen, Texas. Completed plans call for the addition of a 3,000-square-foot fire / police facility; and for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The project will include three phases of construction that will not interrupt services or displace employees of Central Fire Station. The first phase will include converting the existing fire training center to a new fire house and expanding it by nearly 3,000 square feet. The second phase will shift its focus towards the southern end of the building for renovation of the first and second floors of the administrative offices. Prevention services, administration and employees who interact the most with the public will be moved to the first floor so they may be easily accessed through the lobby. The second floor will be opened up and enlarged, a new stairwell will be added to help connect the two floors and offices will be remodeled with glass fronts to feed in natural light. Administrative workers will be relocated during renovation as firefighters move into their new facilities. The new north side fire house will include a new landscaped courtyard. Phase 3 will occur in conjunction with renovations and will include window replacements and roof and exterior repairs.
