Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Greensboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; road / highway; road / highway; for the construction of a museum; and museum.

The scope of the project includes replacement and addition of site improvements along the hillside bordering Nathanael Greene Drive and the Greensboro Science Center, with work areas totaling approximately nine acres. The project includes, but is not limited to, site grading, construction of site utilities infrastructure and accessible routes for amenities to be constructed as part of this project and/or a future project. The project includes construction of a new surface parking lot and associated widening of Orman Road, as well as new construction of public restroom/support buildings, a visitor services building and covered shelters. Site amenities to be included in this project are TBD, but will potentially consist of a water feature, canopy walk/zipline, boardwalk along the existing lakefront, improvements to Nathanael Greene Drive to create a pedestrian promenade, and various play areas. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all SOQs after the opening of SOQs but before award, or any SOQ, in whole or part, when it is in the best interest of the City of Greensboro. For the same reason, the City of Greensboro reserves the right to waive any minor irregularity in a proposal. All requests for the RFQ and any questions related to the RFQ shall be directed in writing to the office of Lindsey Architecture, Attn: Elizabeth Owensby (elizabeth@lindseyarch.com). The Owner reserves the right to amend the RFQ at any time and only those contractors registered with Lindsey Architecture will receive amendments. Responses to this RFQ will be evaluated to identify contractors with the requisite experience, qualifications and resources to complete the Project successfully within an agreed upon GMP in accordance with project requirements that will be specified by the Owner.
