Renovation of a mixed-use development in Dover, New Hampshire. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a religious / funeral development; and municipal facility.

This project makes repairs to the Ricker Chapel, which was built in 1911. While the Chapel could benefit from a complete renovation, this project allocates funding to weatherize and secure the space to aid in preventing further deterioration. The slate roof needs to be repaired and the masonry needs repointing and waterproofing of mortar joints. A structural engineer will be retained to look at needs to strengthen the building, and review the bell tower which may have structural damage in need of assessment and repair prior to addressing replacement of bricks and repointing as needed. Engineering review costs were included in the Facilities, Grounds and Cemetery building project. The old maintenance barn on South Pine street is in a stage of disrepair and should be demolished. As of December 13, 2023, this project is included in the City of Dover's FY 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and funding is allotted for FY 2025 and FY 2028. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
