The scope of work for the project includes a partial demolition of the adjacent Lion Tail Macaque exhibition and rebuilding of foundation for relocated enclosure, reconnecting the public path between exhibitions and maintaining accessibility standards, provide two viewing shelters adjacent to public path, building with controlled temperature to host two Komodo dragons, exterior habitat, and back of house improvements The City reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to adjust this Schedule of Events as it deems necessary. If necessary, the City will communicate adjustments to any event in the Schedule of Events in the form of an amendment. Question Deadline 11/01/2023 The work contemplated under this contract consists of the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary for the construction of the project titled as follows:City of El Paso - Zoo Komodo Dragon Exhibit Improvements Contract Award Date (approx.) January 2024 Site work; to include everything shown in the construction documents and the following: a. Partial demolition of the adjacent Lion Tail Macaque exhibition. Rebuilding Foundation for the relocated enclosure. b. Reconnecting the public path between the exhibitions and maintaining accessibility standards. c. Provide two viewing shelters adjacent to the public path with monitor and camera control to be able watch the dragon dens and communicate with the keepers. d. Screens at specific locations to block views from the public. e. Building with controlled temperature, humidity, and light for hosting two Komodo dragons, including an animal transfer and off-exhibit outdoor area. f. Exterior Habitat: providing natural substrate, shotcrete, shade structure, water devices, pool, drainage, radiant heater, heat mat embedded in shotcrete, misters, and landscape areas. g. Asphalt back entrance for Fire Truck access and Maintenance with Stairs connection to public path.
