The last day for questions is February 25, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. Sealed bids are invited for the replacement and partial abandonment of existing sanitary sewer pipe and manholes, including installation of approximately 1,446 LF of 21" diameter PVC pipe, 565 LF of 24" diameter ductile iron pipe, seven manholes and all associated work in accordance with the project plans and specifications. Bids shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond or certified check in an amount equal to 10% of the bid price, payable to New Castle County and conditioned to be forfeited to said County for failure to enter into a contract, if awarded. New Castle County will only accept bids from contractors prequalified with the County in the category E(b), Sanitary Sewers, Interceptor Sewer. Prequalification forms are available from the Public Works Contracts Officer in the William J. Conner Building, telephone 302-395-5749. Prequalification applications/updates for this project must be received by the Public Works Chief of Project Management, 187-A Old Churchmans Road, New Castle, DE 19720 by January 25, 2022.
