Metro Vancouver, through the Greater Vancouver Sewerage and Drainage District (the Corporation) invites Responses to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Construction Services for the Annacis Island Wastewater Treatment Outfall Project. More specifically, the intent of this RFQ is to short-list up to Four (4) Respondents to participate in a Request for Proposal. This project involves the construction of a new outfall with increased capacity to support population growth. The 4.2 m diameter outfall will be tunneled at a depth of approximately 40 m, and convey treated effluent approximately 1 km from the Plant to the Fraser River where it will discharge from a 2.5 m diameter, 250 m long diffuser manifold buried in the river bed. The construction contract was awarded on May 24, 2019, and the notice to proceed letter was issued August 1. The contractor is currently mobilizing to site and construction is scheduled to be complete by Spring 2024. Awarded to Pomerleau/Bessac General Partnership
