Demolition, site work, new construction, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for the addition of a 2,000-square-foot educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for the construction of a 3,000-square-foot educational facility.
Key components of the renovation project include: building addition of 2,000 square feet to serve as the new main entrance to the building in conjunction with a new outdoor student gathering plaza approximately 3,000 square feet, refresh to the academic faculty offices, lecture/seminar classrooms, and administrative suites and associated support space, ADA upgrade of the restrooms on all four floors, upgrade of the whole building's fire alarm system, and construction of a fire lane from University of Houston Entrance 14 to the Graduate College of Social Work new plaza.. A CMaR that wishes to be considered for the award of a contract for the Services (each, a "Respondent") must submit its proposal for such award (the "Proposal") in compliance with the requirements contained in this RFP. Failure to so comply will result in disqualification of the Proposal and the Respondent. This Is a Single Step Cmar Procurement; There Will Not Be a RFQ Step. The project is located at 3511 Cullen Blvd, Houston TX. 77204 on the Main Campus of the University of Houston. Key components of the renovation project include: building addition of 2,000 square feet to serve as the new main entrance to the building in conjunction with a new outdoor student gathering plaza approximately 3,000 square feet, refresh to the academic faculty offices, lecture/seminar classrooms, and administrative suites and associated support space, ADA upgrade of the restrooms on all four floors, upgrade of the whole building's fire alarm system, and construction of a fire lane from University of Houston Entrance 14 to the Graduate College of Social Work new plaza. 1.3 Cost, logistics, and preliminary milestone schedule 1.3.1 The Construction Cost Limitation (CCL) is $3,400,000.00 inclusive of all Contractor fees, bonds, and insurance, general conditions, the cost of work, Allowances, and Contractor Contingency. CCL does include IT/Security, A/V equipment, T.V. monitors, Equipment and Fixtures. 1.3.2 The area identified as "PROJECT SITE" in EXHIBIT G, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes, will be available for all construction activities as noted. The Respondent (if any) awarded the contract for the Project (the "Construction Manager") will be allowed limited parking on-site for project management and supervisory personnel. All other Construction Manager employees, subcontractors, consultants, agents and representatives are required to park at designated Contractor parking at the Energy Research Park next to Building 13.
