The intent of this tender call is to obtain an offer to perform the work for a stipulated price in accordance with the Contract Documents. The project includes the supply of all labour, materials, equipment, tools, mobilization, demobilization, disposal, transportation, supervision, permits and other required costs and incidents to complete the site demolition and construction of the Topaz Park Artificial Turf Field Renovation as per the specifications and drawings. The Scope of Work does not include the supply and installation of the synthetic turf surfacing and infill product, which will be installed through a separate contract. The project site is in the northwest corner of Topaz Park, at the intersection of Blanshard and Finlayson Street in the City of Victoria. Topaz Park is a regional destination for sport and recreation activities. Among the many amenities located in the park is Finlayson Field, an artificial turf sports field in the northwest area of the park. It is the City’s only artificial turf field and accommodates a variety of field sports throughout the year. The existing field was installed in 2005. The existing facilities include an artificial turf field surface of 123m x 80m surrounded by a concrete apron. Players’ shelters with benches and spectator bleachers are located on the north side of the field. Existing lighting includes four (4) field lights, two (2) to the north and two (2) to the south of the field. The field is surrounded by chain link fences at the perimeter, which are 1.2m tall on the north, west, and south sides, and 4.5m tall along the east side of the field. Existing mature trees line the south and west sides of the field. The grade slopes down to Blanshard Street on the west and up to the parking area and lacrosse box to the east with relatively flat areas to the north and south of the field.
