Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Union City, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

SCOPE OF WORK The scope of services for this resurfacing and sidewalk improvement contract is to provide milling and resurfacing to Flat Shoals Road from Westbrook Street to Oakley Road and install new site lighting and concrete sidewalks on Flat Shoals Road from Shannon Parkway to Oakley Road. The contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment and labor to complete the required scope of services as described in its entirety to the specifications as directed and the terms of the contract including all incidentals as directed by the City of Union City Director of Public Services or his representative. PREQUALIFICATION A bid bond equal to 5% of the bid bond in the amount of the bid will be required with the bid submittal. A contract performance bond equal to 100% of the contract price and a payment bond equal to 110% of the contract price shall be required by the successful bidder, and shall furnish satisfactory proof of carriage of the insurance required. Payment to contractor will be made within 30 days of receipt in the Finance department each calendar month based on estimated work completed. Final payment will not be made until the City has certified the work has been satisfactorily completed and accepted. The successful bidder shall have prior knowledge and work experience on past paving/resurfacing/ sidewalk projects of similar scope and size. The City of Union City has the right to reject any or all bids, to waive information and irregularities, or to be re-advertised for bids. All addenda and/or clarifications to the Bid Documents will also be available for download from the Union City website in a timely manner, and is the responsibility of the Bidders to obtain and verify receipt of these documents.
