Design and construct dedicated wellfield line to the Sunset Tanks; install new 200,000 Gallon elevated tank and North Well; install 400 linear 8-inch waterline; abandon Los Padillas well and Painted Tank. In 2013, the Pueblo of Isleta completed a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) for the Westside Water Systems Improvement Project, collectively called the Westside Water Upper and Lower Zone Distribution Systems. The purpose of the study was to provide an evaluation of the condition and capacity of the existing infrastructure and to evaluate alternatives for improvements, replacements, or repairs. The existing water system has an Upper and Lower Zone that are not currently interconnected and provide little to no system redundancy between the two zones if there was a failure. The PER evaluated alternatives to compare the continued operation of the two systems as separate water systems against the construction of new facilities to operate as an interconnected system that allows water transfer between the two systems. The Pueblo will solicit for professional engineering services to complete the design of the project. Once the project design is complete the Pueblo will publically advertise the project through the Albuqueque Journal and will award a contract to the best valued and most qualified contractor. As of December 31 2020, this project is currently in the FY 2023-2027 CIP. Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to fiscal year 2023. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
