For the improvement of a certain section of STATE ROUTE 4016, Sec D01 in Luzerne COUNTY, Union Township. The location of the project is as follows: From a point near the intersection with SR 4005 at Segment 0140 Offset 1203 (STA 289+50) to a point approximately 4 miles Northwest from SR 4003 at Segment 0140 Offset 1803 (STA 295+50) along SR 4016, with a total work area length of 500 feet (0.095 miles). The project involves the replacement of an existing structure with a precast concrete box culvert over Reyburn Creek. The existing structure consists of three (3) 36" reinforced concrete pipe culverts. The proposed structure is a precast concrete box culvert that will have a normal clear span of 8'-0", a roadway width of 32'-0" and an under clearance of 6'-0". Other work includes excavation, full depth bituminous paving culvert approach, E & S control measures, drainage, guiderail, landscaping, temporary traffic control, signing, pavement markings, culvert removal and other miscellaneous construction work.
