Site work, renovation and addition to a medical facility in Montreal, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility; for the addition of a 720-bed medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.

Addition and major renovations to the Hospital. The scope of the project includes the construction of additional buildings that will allow to increase the number of beds from 544 to 720 and will require 1,500 additional nurses. The plan also includes eleven additional stretchers for day medicine, the addition of nine endoscopic examination rooms and ten medical imaging machines. The majority of the hospital buildings will undergo major upgrades and reconstruction and will be subdivided into two distinct clusters to ensure that the hospital complex meet current standards. The first cluster would concentrate health care services, while the second one would consolidate all research activities. The overall concept includes clinical facilities, an integrated cancer centre, a knowledge centre, an ophthalmology centre and a research centre. The new buildings may be erected on the current parking lots, but other sites are being studied to take into account public transit. TIMELINE: The owner has awarded teams of professional consultants for design of the following construction project: - a new Critical Care Pavilion and other components that is now followed in the reports under CRM ID general name Modernization of 5415, de l'Assomption Boulevard in Montreal and - a multi-leverl parking that a now followed in the reports under CRM ID general name Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont Expansion - Construction of a Multi-Level Parking. Project design has started. Subsequent construction program projects will be followed in new separate reports when/if they proceed to a planning stage. Coverage of this report has been discontinued. Notes: - The total construction program value is preliminary estimated by the owner as high as $2,500,000,000. - According to the owner's preliminary scheduling the phased construction of the project will be implemented during 2025-2037 period.
