As of March 2, 2022 The project has been pulled and is going out for rebidding in the near future. The Lyndhurst Board of Education, Lyndhurst, New Jersey, will be receiving sealed bids at the Board Offices located at 420 Fern Avenue, Lyndhurst, New Jersey 07071, for the following contracts: Building Additions to Roosevelt Elementary School (State Project #2860-110-17-1000) Building Additions to Columbus Elementary School (State Project #2860-060-17-1000). Every bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 et seq., the "Law Against Discrimination" and Affirmative Action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1, et seq. Pursuant to P.L. 2004 c. 57, all bids must be accompanied by a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. The Bidder must include its own Business Registration Certificate and for all subcontractors. Corporate bidders are required by law (Chapter 33, Laws of 1977) to submit a list of names and addresses of all stockholders owning I 0% or more of their stock. A Non-Collusion Affidavit also must be filed with the bid. The bid package will also include other documents that must be completed and returned with the bid. Failure to comply with bid requirements and to complete and submit all required forms may be cause for disqualification and rejection of the bid. No bidder who is on the state treasurer's or the federal government's list of debarred, suspended or disqualified bidders shall be eligible to bid on this project. Pursuant to n.J.S.A. 18a:18a-26, in order to be eligible to submit a bid for a project listed herein, the bidder and/or its subcontractors shall be classified by the njdmp and njsda in the following disciplines: coos - general construction with c029 structural steel (major trade subcontractor) c030 plumbing (major trade subcontractor) c032 hvacr (major trade subcontractor) c047 electrical (major trade subcontractor) c092-asbestos removal/treatment c040-fireproof applications or c009 - general construction/alterations and additions with c029 structural steel (major trade subcontractor) c030 plumbing (major trade subcontractor) c032 hvacr (major trade subcontractor) c047 electrical (major trade subcontractor) c092-asbestos removal/treatment c040-fireproof applications. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days from the opening of the bids. No bids shall be received after the time designated in the advertisement (N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-21(b)). The Lyndhurst Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any informality in the bidding process in accordance with law if it is in the best interest of the Board of Education. The Board further reserves the right to take such alternates as it deems appropriate. The contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder who bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements . No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Board of Education.
