Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Great Falls, Montana. Completed plans call for site work for a medical facility; and for the construction of a medical facility.
Firms selected for an interview on each project: Will be given project-specific initial information, interview questions, and the interview schedule. Will be asked to present their credentials before an interview committee. The committee will then submit the names of three (3) qualified firms to the Dept. of Administration Director, who will appoint one firm for each project in accordance with 18-2-112 MCA. Submissions received after the deadline may result in rejection. A pre-interview walk-thru of the facility will be provided for the firms selected for an interview. Architecture & Engineering and Great Falls College MSU are seeking an architect led team of consults for an integrated design project to design and build a new dental clinic at Great Falls College MSU. The team will be expected to generate a design to meet current needs and provide flexibility to adapt to future growth and developments in the program and the campus. The team will evolve the design into construction documents, solicit bids and administer the construction of the project. Great Falls College MSU offers the only Dental Hygiene education program in Montana. It is a two-year degree which offers graduates a rewarding career with strong earnings potential. 2018 data shows, Montana expected to experience a need for approximately 75 new Dental Hygienist per year however the current facilities restrict the program to 18 students per semester. The Dental Clinic and Lab also supports the College's Dental Assisting program. This project will expand the number of dental clinic operatories to allow for additional students. The clinic serves the community with dental services, so it is important that it have a separate entry to distinguish itself from the general student traffic. This project is expected to set a high standard for dental hygiene, comply with HIPAA requirements, optimize functionality, and provide a healthy, productive and efficient teaching environment. The design team is expected to incorporate A/E's sustainability requirements, consider WELL provisions, and address the design's carbon footprint and energy performance. The project will not seek third party certification. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
