Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Edmonton, Alberta. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and playground / park / athletic field.

This project is a collaboration between the City of Edmonton and the River Valley Alliance to increase access and connectivity to the North Saskatchewan River Valley. The Touch of the water Promenade project is proposed to the east of the Walterdale bridge and expected to create a waterfront public space that connect the existing river valley trail, Rossdale Generating Station/pump houses, and the Walterdale bridge. This promenade is planned to create a series of spaces that can be used for public gathering and individual enjoyment of the river and River Valley. The North Shore Promenade project proposes a promenade along the north bank of the North Saskatchewan River, adjacent to the River Valley Road, between Government House Park and the Walterdale bridge - creating a "river walk" experience. The promenade could include gathering areas, viewing decks, pedestrian and cyclists' paths, seating and/or enhanced access points. TIMELINE: This project has been placed on hold. Design for the North Shore Area is conceptual however, preliminary design for the Rossdale area has been completed. The Touch the Water Promenade project is not funded for construction at this time. Schedules for detailed design, tender and construction are unknown pending capital funding approvals. Further update may be available in 2026. The Projects will be developed and delivered in a phased approach, in accordance with City of Edmonton Policy C591 - Capital Project Governance.
