Renovation and addition to an educational facility in Montreal, Quebec. Working plans call for the renovation of a 13,500-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; and for the addition of a 36,500-square-foot, three-story above grade, 10-room educational facility.
Addition and alterations to the school building. The scope of the project includes construction of an the addition that will house ten new classrooms, a technology-oriented learning hub, five resource rooms, two rooms specializing in human sciences, two premises specializing in science and technology, two rooms dedicated to visual arts and drama. a new gymnasium including changing rooms for students, new premises for administration and staff, new washrooms, concierge services and storage rooms, and renovations to the existing building areas. TIMELINE: Scope of work has been increased. Working drawings are underway. Owner is seeking provincial approvals and funding. Owner expects that a tender for the general contractor will be issued in late 2024/early 2025. Completion of the project is anticipated for 2026/2027 school year. Note. Expansion of Lucille-Teasdale and La Voie schools, in Montreal. The construction program includes the construction of a new pavilion connected to the two schools by service corridors: project of the Lucie-Teasdale school is followed in the report under CRM ID name École Lucille-Teasdale Addition and Renovations.
