The City of Rancho Mirage ("City") invites proposals from qualified, competent, knowledgeable, and experienced professional engineering consultants that will develop plans, specifications, and engineer's estimate (PS&E) and administer the duties and responsibilities set forth in this Request for Proposals ("RFP"), in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Firms submitting proposals must be prepared to immediately enter into a contract ("Agreement") for the services and duties as set forth in this RFP. The project for which design services will be provided will upgrade the traffic signal interconnect network, controller cabinet equipment, and signal coordination for forty (40) intersections along Highway 111, Bob Hope Drive, Country Club Drive, Dinah Shore Drive, and Monterey Avenue. *Project information, including timeline and contacts, has been obtained through public sources. The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools labor and incidentals as required by the contract documents to construct the above stated project.The general items of work to be done consist of installing traffic signal fiber optic interconnect, a wireless communication system, and traffic management center upgrades with new work stations, upgrading traffic signal controller equipment, CCTV cameras, pedestrian heads and pedestrian push buttons, as well as all other appurtenant related work. LOCATION OF WORK The general location and limits of the work are: in the City of Rancho Mirage on Highway 111 within City Limits, Dinah Shore Drive from Key Largo Avenue to Monterey Avenue, Country Club Drive from Bob Hope Drive to Monterey Avenue, Bob Hope Drive from Frank Sinatra Drive to Highway 111, and Monterey Avenue from Dinah Shore Drive to Avenida Las Palmas, including Rancho Mirage City Hall, Rancho Mirage City Yard, and Palm Desert City Hall.
