Demolition, site work, new construction, remodeling, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; for the construction of a educational facility; for the remodel of a educational facility; and for the renovation of a educational facility.

The general scope of the Work is as follows: 1. Construction of two new additions, one of 2,992 sq. ft. and the second of 8,980 sq. ft. for a total of 11,972 sq. ft. of new construction. In addition to the new construction there will be a variety of interior remodel work on the existing building. Work will include site work, concrete foundations, structural steel frame, CMU backup wall, metal stud wall framing with masonry veneer, adhered roofing, hollow metal entrances, composite metal wall panels, hollow metal frames and wood doors, millwork, finishes, plumbing, new and updated mechanical systems throughout, and full electrical systems. Iowa Construction Sales Tax Exemption Certificates will be provided on this project. All bids must be filed on or before the time set forth herein. All proposals shall be submitted on the form contained within the Project Manual, enclosed in a separate, sealed envelope, plainly identified. Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, cash, or cashier's check in a minimum amount of 5% of their bid. The bid security shall establish that the Bidder will honor their Bid submitted for a period of (30) days from the receipt of the Bid. Upon award of a contract, the Contractor shall provide a Performance and Payment Bond. The Owner reserves the right to accept the bid that they deem to be in their best interests and/or to reject any or all bids at any time within the thirty (30) days immediately following the date of the receipt of bids.
