*Construction is expected to commence in June 2019 and substantial completion of the project is anticipated by mid-December 2019. The Work consists of 1) installing micro piles inside and around the perimeter of the well building in varying depths ranging from 45 feet to 80 feet with pile caps tying into the building footings for underpinning to support the foundation against future settlement, 2) installing cast-in-drilled-hole (CIDH) piles, 30-inches in diameter, to a depth of 30 to 40 feet connecting them by horizontal tie beam to the foundation to support against future lateral movement, 3) injecting grout at selected locations underneath the building foundations to fill in any potential voids and 4) other work including, but not limited to, associated demolition and disposal work, removal and replacement of equipment conflicting with pile locations, installation of inclinometers, concrete and aggregate base work. CONTRACT TIME. Work shall be finally completed within 200 Days from the date when Contract Time commences to run. REQUIRED CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE(S). Each bidder is required to have a current California Class A - General Engineering Contractor license to bid this Contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. Removal, handling, and/or disposal of hazardous materials may by law require hazard- ous substance removal certification by the Contractor's State License Board. PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION. A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirement of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter [1770-1784 Labor Code], unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professional Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded. PREVAILING WAGE LAWS. The successful Bidder must comply with all prevailing wage laws applicable to the Project, and related requirements contained in the Contract Documents. District specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all Bids, or re-bid, or to waive inconsequential deviations from Bid requirements not involving time, price, or quality of the Work.
