Working plans call for the addition of a 71,280-square-foot, three-story above grade, 29-room, 592-seat educational facility; for the renovation of a 20,000-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

Addition and renovation of Antoine-Brossard high school building. The scope of work includes the construction of an approximately 6,600 m2 expansion and upgrades to the current building area. This project aims to add 592 student spaces that will bring the total number of students to 2,539 student spaces, to create 25 new classrooms, two laboratories dedicated to arts and sciences, as well as numerous collaborative spaces for students. The existing swimming pool will be transformed into sports facilities housing a double gymnasium. The project also includes outdoor amenities designed to enhance the student experience. Note. The project will be carried out in collaboration with the Société québécoise des infrastructures (SQI). TIMELINE: The project design is ongoing. The project budget was increased and the project was included it in the list of major projects of the Quebec Treasury Board Secretariat under the number 373. Due to financial constraints the development of the project shows certain delays, attributed in large part to the very high costs of the initially planned work and a re-evaluation of the project budget in order to meet the imposed budgetary limits. Construction start is preliminary slated for 2026. Timelines for a tender for the general contractor and construction are being finalized. Further update in summer/fall 2026.
