On all construction projects the successful bidder shall be required to certify that he/she is in compliance with ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870 or the Davis Bacon Act, 40 USC 3141 to 3148 relative to prevailing wage rates. On projects where bidders are required to be prequalified On projects where bidders are required to be prequalified, the bidder must be prequalified by Procurement Services in the stated category for an amount equal to the amount shown in the project description in this advertisement. Additional prequalification requirements may be described in the project specifications. A prequalification application must be filed with Procurement Services at least ten (10) calendar days prior to the last day for receipt of bids, unless stated otherwise in the bid documents. All Construction Bids Are Due by 2:00 Pm on the Date Listed. Additional Forms Disclosing First Tier Subcontractors Are Due by 4:00 Pm. Bids Will Be Received and Opened Publicly at 2:00 Pm on the Closing Date and at the Location Listed. The City Encourages Bidding by Cobid Certified Firms and Will Assist Such Firms to Understand and Participate in the Formal Bidding Processes. Prequalification Required in Class 11 - Water Line Construction for $5,000,000. Project Description The Fulton Pump Mains Replacement Project consists of approximately 3,550 feet of new 20-inch ductile iron pump main that will be used to pump water between the recently constructed Hannah Mason Pump Station and the Burlingame Tanks. The pipeline will primarily be constructed using open cut techniques. However, the alignment includes an approximately 230-foot long section under the I-5 Freeway and an approximately 210-foot long section beneath SW Barbur Blvd (OR-99W) that will require the use of trenchless construction methods. The project also includes the abandoning of approximately 3,180 feet of 10-inch pump main and 3,180 feet of 12-inch pump main between the I-5 right-of-way and the Burlingame Tank Site. McMillen Jacobs is responsible for the design services associated with the 20-inch diameter trenchless crossing of SW Barbur Boulevard (OR-99W), the 20-inch diameter crossing of I-5 Freeway, and the proposed pipeline between these two trenchless crossings. The project vicinity map is provided in Figure 1.
