The work generally consists of the approximate following major quantities 2, 200 L.F. of 9"x18" concrete vertical curb, 2,539 S.Y. of concrete sidewalk, 36 streetscape lights, 26 shade trees, various streetscape furnishings, and related improvements; all in accordance with the form of proposal, contract and specifications prepared by Keller & Kirkpatrick, Consulting Engineers -Surveyors - Planners - Landscape Architects, 301 Gibraltar Drive, Suite 2A, Morris Plains, New Jersey. The work generally consists of the approximate following major quantities 1921 L.F. of granite block curb, 2710 S.Y. of concrete sidewalk, 33 streetscape lights, 30 shade trees, various streetscape furnishings and related improvements. Bidders are notified that they must comply with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, as amended) and that award will not be made to any bidder whom the Commissioner of Labor and Industry does not certify. Bidders are notified that the following Civil Rights Goals are part of this project: The number of Training Positions will be 0 [where feasible consisting of at least Zero (0) Apprentices and Zero (0) Apprentice Graduates of the P.A.P. and/or Trainees (Total Trainees Hours = 0)]. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal is 5%. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided, in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications. They must be enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Municipal Clerk, Borough of Flemington, NJ, and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier check, or bid bond in the form provided of not less than 10% of the amount of bid. Said check or bid bond may not be less than $500 nor shall it be more than $20,000 and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety statement in the form provided from a Surety Company stating that the Surety Company will provide the bidder with a bond for 100% of the Contract amount in the event that the Contract is awarded to the bidder. A Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Record of Recent Contract Awards must also accompany the proposal on the forms provided. Proposal forms shall not be removed from the form of proposal. Proposals must be made upon the blank forms provided and submitted in the bound book, which shall be left whole and intact in every respect. Bidders must have at the time of bid, a Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of NJSA 10:5-31 et seq. and NJAC 17:27 for an affirmative action program for equal employment opportunity. If awarded a contract, your company/firm will be required to comply with the requirements of NJSA 10:5-31 et seq. and NJAC 17:27. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the opening of bids, A Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or all proposals will be rejected within sixty (60) days after the opening of bids.
