Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Little Egg Harbor Twp, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Replacement of Railroad Avenue Bridge, Structure No. 1508-005, Carrying Railroad Avenue Over Westecunk Creek, Township of Eagleswood. Bidders must comply with P.L. 1975, C. 127 and 10% Surety required. John N. Ernst, Ocean County Engineer. The work to be performed under this Contract consists of the complete replacement of an existing 32.5ft. wide, 45ft. long, two span, simply supported, adjacent reinforced concrete voided slab beam superstructure supported by concrete pile caps on timber piles with timber wing walls, with a single span bridge with prestressed concrete box beams on reinforced concrete stub abutments on concrete filled steel pipe piles. The project proposes a full detour that is to be set in place prior to demolition and then to be removed after the projects completion. Estimated construction cost range: $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. SCOPE OF WORK The following is added to this Subsection of the Standard Specifications: The work to be performed under this Contract consists of the complete replacement of an existing 32.5ft. wide, 45ft. long, two span, simply supported, adjacent reinforced concrete voided slab beam superstructure supported by concrete pile caps on timber piles with timber wing walls on Railroad Avenue in the Township of Eagleswood, with a single span bridge with prestressed concrete box beams on reinforced concrete stub abutments on concrete filled steel pipe piles. The project proposes a full detour that is to be set in place prior to demolition and then to be removed after the project's completion. Construction will necessitate operations of milling and paving of the existing roadway along with all other work necessary and incidental to the construction of the Railroad Avenue Bridge. It isstrongly suggested that the Contractor visit the site prior to bidding to assesstheir capability of driving all the sheeting and piles per plan along the East side of the roadway with the overhead utility wires in place
