Renovation of an educational facility in Burien, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The work consists of providing all work and materials to complete all general, architectural, selective demolition and roofing work under a single contract for the construction of the scope for the Base Bid and Alternate Bids (if included) as set forth in these Contract Documents, as awarded. SEE BID PROPOSAL. The work scope shall include, but not necessarily be limited to. the following: Re-Roofing Madrona Hall, Dormitory #2 and Evergreen Hall, Dormitory #3. New laminated architectural roofing shingles are to be installed over an existing single-layer of three-tab shingles. The total roof area is approximately 24,000 square feet. The existing metal ridge vents are to be painted in place. On Dormitory #2, Roof overbuild(s) are to be framed, sheathed and roofed at locations shown on the drawings Estimated Base Bid Cost Range: $224,000.00 to $247,000.00 The State of Washington prevailing wage rates are applicable for this public works project located in King County. Bidders are responsible to verify and use the most recent prevailing wage rates. Voluntary numerical Diverse Business goals of 10% MBE, 6% WBE, 5% Washington Small Business, and 5% Veterans have been established for this project. Achievement of the goals is encouraged. The State reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
