Site work for a water / sewer project in College Station, Texas. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project includes the rehabilitation of water and wastewater lines in the northside area, in the vicinity of Eisenhower Street, University Drive, Jane Street, and Nimitz Street. The sanitary sewer lines are in need of replacement due to an increase in service disruptions caused by deteriorating lines, shallow lines, and poor access to mains located near back lot lines. (NOTE: This project will move any rear serving sewer mains to front lot lines.) The water distribution lines are in need of replacement due to an increase in service disruptions caused by deteriorating lines and inadequate fire protection due to the existence of smaller lines within the respective area. This project is included in the city's Fiscal Year 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Program. As of April 25, 2024, per owner, the project is still in preliminary design, further details regarding design and construction timelines have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
