Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Floyd, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The project generally consists of the Construction of approximately 3,400 Linear Feet of proposed sidewalk in the Town of Floyd, Virginia adjacent to Page Street, Fox Street, Penn Avenue, and East Oxford Street; and additional 600 Linear Feet of sidewalk along West Oxford Street between Fox Street and North Locust Street. Specifications included in the bid package are in addition to the VDOT 2016 Road and Bridge Specifications and the 2018 Supplement to the 2016 VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications. This project is federally funded. The Virginia Department of Transportation has established a 7% DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise) requirement for the construction contract. Further information regarding DBE requirements, including required documentation forms and certifications, is included with the Bid Documents. Additional inquiries regarding DBE participation requirements should be directed to Ms. Lori Law, VDOT Salem District Civil Rights Division, at (540) 387-5453. The Town of Floyd further solicits participation from minority-owned businesses. VDOT PROJECT NO. EN04-219-111, R201, C502 / UPC 104128 An Apparent Low Bidder has been announced.
