It is also recommended that the agreement be sumitted as soon as practicable to ensure compliance with established regulations The 101 Ranch Wetlands Reserve, located in Okeechobee County, Florida involves the construction of berms and water control structures along with the selective removal and/or replacement of existing culverts to restore the natural hydrology and associated wetland characteristics, functions and values of the project site that existed prior to hydrological and agricultural manipulations. The project site consists of approximately 584 acres of land currently used to for cattle grazing. The purpose of the project is to restore and maintain wetland functions and values of the project site. This will be accomplished with the improvement of existing berms and design and construction of new berms and water control structures to increase and maintain water levels within the Wetlands Reserve Easement (WRE) based on historical aerials and survey data collected. Specifically, the project will consist of approximately 4,000 linear feet (LF) of existing berm improvement and new berm construction, approximately 10,000 LF of existing berm removal and canal filling (land smoothing), two (2) overflow water control structures, two (2) small ditch blocks, replacement of a 72-inch reinforces concrete pipe (RCP) flow equalization culvert, construction of two (2) 24-inch RCP flow equalization culverts, and removal of approximately sixty (60) existing culverts of various sizes. The 101 Ranch project is located in Okeechobee County, Florida, in Sections 5 and 8 of Township 34 South, Range 34 East. The project site is accessed via State Road 441 to NW 240th Street, west to NW 144th Avenue and finally north on NW 144th Avenue to the 101 Ranch property. The project includes all work incidental to the construction of the aforementioned features and the period of performance is approximately 268 calendar days after the issuance of Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of construction is between $700,000 AND $1,000,000. The Contracting Officer will award one Firm Fixed Price contract to the responsible 8(a) offeror whose proposal the Source Selection Authority determines conforms to the solicitation, is fair and reasonable with regard to pricing, and whose proposal offers the best overall value to the Government, considering price and non-price factors. Proposals will be evaluated on technical merit, past performance, and price. This acquisition is restricted to eligible 8(a) small businesses firms located within the state of florida, and other eligible 8(a) small business firms with a bona fide place of business within the state of florida and with the assigned naics code of 237990.
