Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Brunswick, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot.

As of October 1, 2020, the contractor has been awarded. The contractor is planning to begin construction in the Spring of 2021 and the project will be completed in July 2021. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. --- The lowest responsive bidder must have completed, or successfully complete, a Project-Specificprequalification to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: Federal Aid Project No. 23921.00, Maine DOT WIN 023921.00 Goals for female participation in each trade 6.9% MaineDOT has established an annual DBE participation goal of 2.4% The Railroad shall provide one final and complete invoice of all Project-related costs within 60 calendar days following written notification from the Town that all of the Project work has been completed satisfactorily and all previous billings by the Railroad have been approved by the Town. The completion of all Project work shall be determined by Town's Project Manager after all Project Work has been inspected and accepted by the Town. Town will not reimburse the Railroad for any invoices received more than 60 calendar days after written notification of satisfactory completion of work. Location: In Cumberland County, project is located at the existing gravel parking lot on Cedar Street in Brunswick Properly completed and signed bid bond on the prescribed form in this package (or on a form that does not contain significant variations from the form) for 5% of the bid amount. Outline of Work: Work on this project will include new gravels and pavement, slip form curb with bituminous sidewalk, a concrete bus shelter pad (bus shelter provided by others), new drainage, new facility lighting, new striping,and other incidental work. This site has a groundwater and soil management plan due to the presence of coal ash in the existing gravels. The proposed gravels and pavement will be placed on top of the existing parking lot gravels to minimize excavation of existing materials The basis of award will be granted to the responsible bidder whose bid, complying with conditions and requirements provided in this notice and bid form, is the lowest total bid as identified under the Base Bid -Section 0001 form. Questions received after 3:00 P.M. of the Friday prior to bid will not be addressed. Bidders shall not contact any other municipal staff for clarification of Contract provisions; the Municipality will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Municipality and must be accompanied either by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashiers check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order payable to Municipality of Brunswick as a Bid Guaranty. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each for 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder.This Contract is subject to applicable Federal Laws. The Municipality of Brunswick,in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; Title 49 in the Code of Federal Regulations(CFR), Part 21; and 28 CFR, Part 50.3,here by notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively assure at in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
